A brief history
If youβve ever felt intimidated walking into a gym, unsure what to do, or like you just donβt fit in β youβre not alone.
At PFA Studio, weβve created a space where you can train with confidence, feel supported from day one, and actually enjoy the process of getting stronger and fitter.
PFA Studio started with a simple goal β to build a different kind of fitness environment.
One that wasnβt intimidating.
One that didnβt leave people feeling lost.
And one where every person felt welcome, regardless of their experience or fitness level.
What began as a passion for movement and helping others has grown into a supportive, community-driven studio in East Sussex.
Today, we help people across East Sussex build strength, lose fat, and feel more confident through small group personal training and coached fitness sessions.
Our approach combines structure, accountability, and expert guidance β so youβre never left guessing what to do or how to progress.
Weβre not just a place to work out.
Weβre a place where:
Youβre coached, not left on your own
Youβre supported, not judged
You build confidence as well as strength
Whether youβre completely new to fitness or looking to take your training further, we meet you where you are and help you move forward.
What really makes PFA Studio special is the community.
Our members support each other, celebrate progress together, and create an environment where everyone feels comfortable showing up and giving their best.
Itβs not about being perfect β itβs about being consistent and enjoying the journey.

Louise Stillman
With nearly 20 years in fitness, Louise has taught many classes. She is qualified in strength training for perimenopause and menopause, strength training for older adults, Pilates, indoor cycling, aerial hoop, and pole fitness. Now in her late 40s, she aims to create a welcoming space for everyone. PFA has offered aerial classes since 2011 and is now adding small group personal training (max 6 people), indoor cycling, and group exercise classes.
Louise started pole fitness in 2004, initially hesitant after her sister invited her to a hen party. However, after trying a class at her gym, she became passionate about it. Unable to find instructors at the time, she began teaching while running her massage and personal training business. The popularity of pole fitness soon took over.
Louise loves seeing her students grow in confidence, including those who once lacked it, performing on stage in front of 300 people. She teaches all levels, from beginners to advanced, and mentors instructors from other schools. Although she previously competed, Louise chose to focus on her studio rather than the competition circuit, ensuring her students get stage opportunities without the pressure.
Robyn Flint
Robynβs love for aerial hoop and her beautiful technique was evident from her first class and she was asked to become an instructor. Robyn has been running very popular classes ever since. Robyn has qualifications as a pole, aerial Hoop and flexibility instructor. Robyn is also our kids instructor.
Daphne Grant
Daphne brings energy and expertise to every class she leads. As a personal trainer, pole instructor, and group exercise instructor, she masterfully blends the elegance of PolEsque with the intensity of gym-style fitness. Whether you're tackling her challenging bootcamp sessions or stepping up in her step classes, Daphne's motivation and passion for fitness shine through, inspiring every participant to push their limits and enjoy the journey.
If you fancy embracing your sensual side why not try polEsque - this is a mixture of pole fitness and burlesque.
Daphne also offers Burlesque workshops. If you would like to improve your confidence and how you see yourself then get yourself booked in.
Amber Dorril
Amber has grown up doing competitive artistic gymnastics from the age of five until 14 and then after that she found her love for aerial! She has been training since 2016 and performing professionally since 2020. She currently has a residency at Proud Cabaret in Brighton and continues to perform at a variety of events.
Amber specialises in intermediate to elite aerial, if you want to work on your drops or your rolls or if you have an idea for routines Amber is your girl. She specialises in hoop and lyra pole. But she can also help you with aerial straps too.
